The four best golf courses in Majorca

The island of Majorca is a paradise for all lovers of golf. The east coast is home to some of the most exclusive clubs where sports stars such as José María Olazábal and Rafa Nadal play.

The natural landscape of the north-eastern zone of Majorca, brimming with fields of almond trees and pinewoods plus a stunning coastline with turquoise waters, alongside golf courses with cutting-edge facilities and first-rate staff, make this heavenly region in Majorca the perfect setting to play this precision sport.

1. Son Servera Golf Club. This is the second-oldest golf club in Majorca with over fifty years of history. Set at the foot of a spectacular pinewood, it offers impressive views to the coast of Cala Millor and the valley. The club also has a professional golf school for all ages and levels.

2. Capdepera Golf. This is one of the most traditional golf courses on the island. It has 18 holes, with the spectacular view of the sea that the 15th hole offers being a major highlight. One of the greatest attractions of Capdepera Golf is the Roca Viva Restaurant, offering an inviting terrace and some of the most delicious dishes of Majorcan cuisine.

3. Canyamel Golf. With 18 holes and par 73, this is one of Majorca’s golf courses that best blends in with the surroundings, also offering stunning views to the sea from its 4th hole. It’s not unusual for players to come across turtles on the course, who live amicably alongside the golfers.

4. Pula Golf. Each year, this club is host to the Olazábal & Nadal Invitational charity golf tournament, which Cap Vermell Group has participated in for the past five years. It was redesigned between 2002 and 2006 by the international professional golfer José María Olazábal and is one of the toughest golf courses in Majorca, that additionally organises tournaments aimed at both professionals and amateurs. It also boasts accommodation in its 4-star resort with spa.

Cap Vermell Group has established itself as one of the companies in Majorca that is most committed to sport. As well as the promotion of tennis, padel, rhythmic gymnastics and swimming carried out by Cap Vermell Country Club, its continuous involvement with golf in Majorca is also well worth highlighting. Always in constant collaboration with all the major golf clubs on the island, over the past two years it has successfully organised the Cap Vermell Open Tournament on the Capdepera, Pula and Son Servera golf courses.
